THE MINISTER FOR HEALTH HON. KWAKU AGYEMAN-MANU INAUGURATED THE ADVANCED NEUROSURGICAL EQUIPMENT AT RIDGE HOSPITAL

The Minister for Health, Hon. Kwaku Agyeman-Manu has inaugurated ultramodern equipment to be used at the surgical theatre at the Conjoined Twins Secretariat at the Ridge Hospital, Accra.

According to the Minister, the equipment will help save conjoined babies’ lives and prevent parents from flying their children to foreign countries for medical treatment.

He added that the Ministry of Health in collaboration with the Ghana College of Physicians has prepared grounds for the training of medical personnel in various specialties.

Dr. Samuel Kaba, a Neurosurgeon at the Hospital, expressed his joy and gratitude for the provision of the medical equipment which will aid in better treatments of patients.

“If the conjoined twins’ separation is successful, Ghana will become the centre for medical knowledge”, he added.
