COMMEMORATION OF 2019 WORLD HEALTH DAY – 8TH APRIL

The Ministry of Health will commemoration  2019 World Health Day celebration under the theme “Universal Health Coverage, with a focus on the critical role of Primary Health Care.

The Day is an opportunity to communicate about the importance of equity in healthcare services not only for the health of individuals, but also for the health of economics and society at large.

The goals and objectives for this years campaign are as follows:

1. To improve understanding of Universal Health Coverage and the importance of primary health care as its foundation
2. To spur action from individuals, policy-makers and health-care workers to make universal health coverage a reality for everyone.
