President Akufo-Addo inaugurates Tain District Hospital

H.E. President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has inaugurated the Tain District Hospital at Nsawkaw in the Bono Region.
The 60-bed Tain District Hospital is part of nine hospital projects being executed by Euroget De-Invest s.a in Ghana.
Inaugurating the $36.6 million 60-bed Hospital, President Akufo-Addo said, his government is committed to improving access to essential and quality health services through the provision of health infrastructure.
He said the construction of the hospital, which is equipped with all the relevant departments of a modern hospital, will enable residents of the town and surrounding communities to gain access to health care.
The President urged the people to ensure that the facility is always maintained, adding “I am asking you all to pay particular attention to maintenance of this facility”.
The Minister for Health, Hon Kwaku Agyeman-Manu said, President Akufo-Addo’s government has made health and education its priority. That is is why the President continues to develop health infrastructure and pursue the policy of free senior high school education.
He urged the people in the area to retain the government in the forthcoming general election to continue with the developmental agenda.
The Vice-Chair of Euroget Group, Mr. Emad Deraz addressing the people of Nsawkaw during the inauguration said, the event is in fulfillment of the commitment of the company to complete and handover all the projects on schedule to the good people of Ghana.
Other projects being executed by Euroget De-Invest S.A are the 500-bed Military Hospital at Afari in Kumasi, 160-bed Regional Hospital at Wa, 250-bed Regional Hospital at Sewua in Kumasi, and the 100-bed Ga East Municipal Hospital at Kwabenya.
The rest are 60-bed district hospitals at Salaga, Tepa, Konongo and Twifo Praso.
The Government of Ghana represented by the Ministry of Health (MoH) and Ministry of Defence (MoD) signed the contract with Euroget De-Invest s.a for the construction and equipment installation of eight hospitals for MoH and one Hospital for MoD.
The scope of work at the 60-bed Tain District Hospital includes design of all project disciplines, construction of all buildings and systems, supply and installation of medical equipment and furniture, supply and installation of non-medical equipment and furniture, and training warranty and maintenance.
Out patients facilities include dental clinic, medicine cardiology, ophthalmology, pediatry, gynecology, and General surgery and orthopedic.
