GOVERNMENT ESTABLISHES GHANA COLLEGE OF PHARMACISTS
“Government‘s vision for setting up this College amongst others was to provide in-country opportunities for academic and practical training that leads to specialization in various fields of pharmacy, pharmaceutical care and pharmaceutical sciences”, Hon Alex Segbefia, Minister for Health has said.
According to him, this approach is in line with the Ministry of Health’s strategy of increased local context in Human Resource for Health development and management.
“This strategy covers pre-service and post service basic training as well as specialized training at all levels. The program includes the training and production of health professionals including equipping them with appropriate skills to perform anywhere in the country”, Hon Segbefia.
The theme for the Annual General Meeting was “Professional Specialization and its impact on the Health System”.
